See the flange flatness result as a true 3D image in the display unit directly after measuring. Thenevaluate the result easily with different calculation settings, for example three point reference, best fit or all positive. This can be done on site without having to stop to go to a PC with separate analysis programs. The Easy Laser E910 system uses the D22 swivel laser to map the different values of measurement points. In the same family, the Easy Laser E915 system includes a laser transmitter D23 Spin with power rotating head. The laser beam from the transmitter rotates constantly and creates areference plane over the entire measurement object. Measurements are performed quicker as you do not have to align the beam for each new measurement position. You place the detector at the desired measurement points and register the reading by a push of a button. In principle, one person can performthe measurement themselves. It is then possible to generate a PDF report containing graphs and measurement data directly from the measurement system’s display unit. All information about the measurement object is documented. The ability to measure only a quarter of the flange at a time provides for safe working conditions while staying on the ground.
The typical application for these systems are in the manufacturing industries where large pipes or wind tower sections are built. The only local wind tower manufacturer in South Africa is using a E915 system as part of the quality control process. In addition a parallelity measurement between two end flanges can be done with a standard program and adding a few accesories like tripods and a prism.
