Because fast answers are often critical to your maintenance needs, the Oil View in-shop oil analysis equipment provides useful and fast results to help you solve lubricant related problems quickly. This process paves the way for focused maintenance decisions and extended lubrication service intervals.

The Oil View® Quick-Check Analyzer is easy to use. Test results from this oil analysis tool are available in 1 minute and are easily interpreted. The knowledge one gains quickly translates into longer equipment life and condition based intervals between oil changes. The ownership and control of the oil analysis equipment allows for the analysis to be performed by people familiar with the equipment that are tested. Lubricants received from suppliers can be tested to verify authenticity.

Oil View® helps you make informed decisions by providing data in three critical categories: oil degradation, oil contamination and machine wear. Data management capabilities such as reporting and trending are available with included PC software, but a PC is not required to perform tests.

The Oil View® Quick-Check oil analysis tool employs the Dielectric Constant value as the main test parameter. The Dielectric Constant is a fundamental property of a material, along with boiling point, melting point, viscosity and refractive index.
  • Dielectric Constant: Compare with dielectric of clean oil to determine lubrication degradation
  • Ferrous Index: Ferrous particles > 5 microns
  • Large Ferrous Indication: Ferrous particles >> 60 microns
  • Large non-Ferrous Indication: Non-ferrous particles >> 60 microns

The PC based software generates a graphic interpretation of test results in a Trivector format. Test parameters are split into wear, contamination or chemistry categories. The maximum alarm level in each category is plotted on the interpretation on the Trivector plot.
Trend analysis of sample historical data are also shown in the software. Alarm set points can be used to show exceptions. Data can be exported in different formats and reports can be generated and printed from this oil analysis tool.
